Bibove is start up with one aim – to reuse plastic waste.
“Upcycling of recycled plastics is a major global issue that we need to tackle.”
Estimates suggest that only seven per cent of the roughly one million plastic water bottles bought every minute worldwide are recycled, with the remainder ending up in landfill or polluting the seas.
“One of the biggest problems is that the plastic bottles cannot be recycled and reused for the same purpose, so it’s up to us to find new uses for them.”
Plastic bottles are notoriously difficult to recycle.
Bibove shelter
We will sponsor a global design competition to develop a small temporary shelter system constructed from recycled plastic interlocking panels that will be durable, portable and easy to erect. The shelters will pack onto pallets for quick and efficiently delivery to areas of the Globe that are in need of shelter, such as war, Tsunami and earthquake zones
Bibove blocks
A system of recycled plastic re-usable interlocking building blocks with a myriad of uses - the construction of raised bed walls for agriculture, livestock enclosures and water irrigation channel dam walls.
Ocean micro plastic recovery
A wave powered device to collect ocean micro plastic
Basharama
Our first product is the Basharama, a vertical hammer for compacting refuse in bins – specifically wheelie bins. The Basharama is a handheld tool made from recycled plastic – hardwearing and washable. The Basharama weighs 1.2kg and will use 80 single use recycled plastic bottles @15gms in its construction. 13 million units equate to over a billion bottles or 1000 tonnes of recycled plastic.
A blue version will also be manufactured using ocean micro plastic.
We have secured patents to this unique invention in the UK, Europe, USA, Canada and Australia with other jurisdictions pending.
